92% was written and created by Funkface, a Strong Black Brother who believes deeply in the power, resilience, and legacy of Black women.
As a writer, Funkface can create characters. He can tell stories. He can research history. But as Funkface says:
"I want to hear it from the mouths of my Beautiful Black Gods."
There is one thing no man, no human being, no race, and no nationality can do: fully carry the weight of a Black woman’s journey. No one can truly know the victories she has earned, the burdens she has carried, the sacrifices she has made, the faith she has leaned on, or the wisdom passed down through generations of mothers, daughters, grandmothers, sisters, and ancestors.
As Funkface says:
"As a writer, I can imagine. I can listen. I can learn. I can honor. But I cannot place my pen exactly where a Black woman's footsteps have traveled. That journey belongs to her alone."
That is why Toshia founded the 92% Legacy Roundtable — to listen, to learn, and to ensure that the voices, experiences, and truths of Black women help strengthen the story of 92%.
Funkface says:
"I am asking for one thing: your valuable time, your stories, your strength, your wisdom, your faith, your perseverance, and your truth."
This is not about Black women finger-pointing. This is about Black women standing in the world with pride, success, and legacy — saying everything without having to say one word.
The Roundtable does not exist to give permission to tell the story. It exists to strengthen it — to help us listen, learn, and ensure that the women who inspire these characters have a voice in shaping them from pencil to paper, from production to the big screen.
We want to introduce you to the characters in the film. Who do you relate to? Does this character remind you of your momma? Does she act like Grandmaw? Does she laugh like your aunt? Is he bossy like your uncle? Do you see someone you love, someone you lost, or even a piece of yourself?
Funkface says:
"Help me mold these characters I have created in my mind, so I can place them truthfully on the big screen."
While one writer may create the story, the truth within that story is often found in the experiences of those who have lived it.
The goal of 92% is not to speak for Black women. The goal is to listen closely enough that their strength, wisdom, faith, perseverance, and legacy are reflected honestly on screen.
And that can only happen when real women become part of this journey.
Did you feel him standing outside the voting booth, peeping over your shoulder? Were you manipulated into voting for him instead of voting for yourself? Did you feel that a man in your life voted against your rights, your freedom, your autonomy, or your future? Did he understand what his vote meant to you? Did it change the way you saw him, trusted him, loved him, or stayed with him?

Have you questioned your marriage or relationship because of it? Have you felt that women’s rights were being taken, controlled, or decided by others? Have you looked back and realized that Black women were warning the world, but too many people did not listen?
The 92% Legacy Roundtable invites women of all races to share what is on their minds. This is a space to speak honestly, listen deeply, and stand together in truth, strength, and legacy.
